Oil Extraction

Nationwide Distributor Of Rosin Machines

RosinPressNY is a nationwide distributor of rosin machines. Each rosin machine that we have in stock can be provided at a great, affordable rate. We manufacture these machines, which soundly use a solventless oil extraction method to produce high quality rosin. We stay up to date on the highest quality rosin technology in order to give you that run smoothly and efficiently.

What Is Solventless Oil Extraction?

The rosin technology we utilize is of the highest quality, which includes techniques such as solventless oil extraction. This is the process used to press rosin with heat and pressure, all the while collecting the plant's natural oil as a byproduct. The natural oils within the rosin will escape onto your collection paper if you heat the plant to a certain temperature. While the oil cools, it will harden into a "glass-like" consistency. And after scraping your hardened oil off the paper, it is prepared for use.

Rosin is a form of cannabis concentrate that can be extracted from the plant without using any sort of solvent in the oil extraction process. In a solventless oil extraction process you are getting a cleaner final product. This comes down to the fact that most other concentrates and extraction processes require some sort of solvent in order to properly release the oils from the plant. There is still some PPM (parts per million) of solvent in the final product of many pressing processes. We manufacture rosin press machines that have the ability to safely and efficiently produce solventless rosin.

Rosin Pressing Tips

Oil extraction is a simple and easy process when using one of our reliable rosin pressing machines. Here are some frequently asked questions for those new to the process.

What Materials Do I Use?

Yields range significantly and depend largely on the quality of the materials used.

  • Trim/Shake 10% - 15%
  • Flower: 15% - 30%
  • Kief / Dry Sift: 30% - 60%+
  • Bubble Hash / Hash: 30% - 70%+

Note: Adequate application of pressure is important to achieve optimal yields, and these figures are based on averages tests. Results may vary and depend heavily on your material as well as the operator.

Which Micron Bag To Use?

Depending on your material, the proper micron bags are suggested but results will always vary.

For kief, dry sift, hash, and bubble hash, use a 36 micron bag.

36 micron bags will provide the highest quality product.

For trim, and shake, use a 90 micron bag.

The 90 micron bags will give you more filtration and slightly higher quality product.

For Flower, use a 160 micron bag.

The 160 micron bags provide proper level of filtration and high yielding microns for use with flower, trim, and shake rosin pressing.

What Temperature Is Ideal?

Lower temperatures (180°F-200°F) = more flavor/terpenes, less yield, end material is more stable (shatter-like consistency)
Higher temperatures (200°F- 235°F) = less flavor/terpenes, more yield, end material is less stable (sap-like consistency)
